2010 Advocacy Information

Congress is currently considering replacing the current Perkins Loan Program with the Direct Perkins Loan Program. This change would eliminate the inschool interest subsidy, the forgiveness programs unique to Perkins, and the on-campus administration of the program.

However, the process is still ongoing, and you can still shape the debate. Below is information on the proposal, COHEAO’s position, and how to participate in this incredibly important legislative process.

This will be a dynamic situation throughout the rest of 2010. As always, check www.coheao.org and the COHEAO Facebook page for updates.
